Transport Getting around Châtel-Guyon

  • By train:

The nearest station is Riom/Châtel-Guyon, just 7 km from the terms. From the station, line 2 of the RLV Mobilités network provides a bus service to Châtel-Guyon every hour or so, from 6.30am to 7.30pm. Buses run less frequently on Sundays. During your stay, you can easily reach Clermont-Ferrand or Vichy by train.

Good to know: the SNCF offers aluggage delivery service for added convenience.

  • By bus:

For your local travel needs, RLV Mobilités line 2 serves several stops in Châtel-Guyon, including in front of the two campsites, the thermal baths and the motorhome park.

  • By bike:

Self-service electrically assisted bicycles are available in front of the Châtel-Guyon Tourist Office. More information on RLV’LIB.

  • By car:

Most car parks and parking areas in Châtel-Guyon are free, with the exception of the blue zones, where a blue disc is compulsory.

  • By electric car:

Three recharging points are available: in the car park of the Châtel-Guyon Tourist Office, in the car park of the Aïga Resort spa centre and in the Aldi car park in Riom.

  • The weekly farmers’ market: every Sunday morning (avenue Baraduc, near the spa park)
  • Bakeries: visit the Belin bakery, 10 Avenue de l’Europe. In the mood for something sweet? Go to Papillons!
  • A wine shop, a cheese shop and a butcher’s await you on avenues Baraduc and des États-Unis.
