For example, two new family circuits, “Birlou” and “Madargascar”, have been inaugurated from Châtel-Guyon, perfectly suited to a family outing. For more experienced cyclists, there are mountain bike trails of up to 103km in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes. You’ll cycle between ridges, forests and panoramic views of the Limagne fault.

Nature Unique protected natural areas Recharge your batteries!

Terra Volcana is part of the vast Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne, an area protected since 1977 and covering several hundred thousand hectares. The park preserves a mosaic of natural environments: high altitude grasslands, forests, peat bogs, rivers, lakes… The Puy-de-Dôme offers some remarkable protected natural areas to discover, such as the Enval gorges or the large pond at Pulvérières, where nature can be experienced at every step.

These are places where you can get away from it all, observe the flora and fauna and take a contemplative break. They are a reminder of the extent to which respect for the environment and the enhancement of a unique natural heritage are at the heart of the Terra Volcana experience.
