Volvic Volcanic Experience 2026

Once again, in 2026, the VVX is offering a trail experience accessible to all levels, with each route offering its share of unspoilt nature.

• Chaîne des Puys – Faille de Limagne Experience (111 km): a demanding ultra-trail with a vertical drop of around 3,500 m, linking the Chaîne des Puys to the Faille de Limagne. Solo or in pairs, it’s a real volcanic journey.
• Terra Volcana Experience (82 km): an 82 km route (elevation gain ≈ 2,700 m) that invites experienced trail runners to discover the volcanic relief at sunrise. Passing through emblematic sites at a steady pace.
• Volvic Impluvium Experience (46 km): a very popular intermediate distance (~46 km, 1,700 m D+), ideal for experiencing the “VVX magic” without going all the way to ultra. A great compromise between challenge and discovery.

• Volcanic Experience (24 km): a shorter route (~24 km, 790 to 1,000 m D+) for runners who want a taste of the volcanic terrain without going overboard. Accessible but technical at times.
• Pierre de Lave Experience (15km): a 15km discovery trail (~450m D+), perfect for occasional runners or for a first experience of the VVX world. Short, intense, but very accessible.
• Rando’Impluvium (15km hike): a 15km walk, allowing participants to enjoy the volcanic landscape at their own pace. A gentle approach to discovering the VVX environment.
• VVX Kids Trail (0.5 – 1.1 km): a fun mini-run (between 500 m and 1.1 km depending on age) for children, introducing them to trail running in a friendly atmosphere. It’s a fun way to introduce children to trail running in a friendly atmosphere.
